Videberg Kraft AB is Vattenfall's project company established to develop, build, and operate SMRs at the Ringhals site on the Värö Peninsula in southwest Sweden. The company applied for state aid on December 23, 2025 — the first application under Sweden's nuclear investment support act — to fund either five BWRX-300 or three Rolls-Royce SMR units delivering approximately 1,500 MWe. The Swedish government proposed acquiring a 60% stake with up to SEK 34.3 billion in construction financing in its April 2026 spring budget amendment. Technology selection between BWRX-300 and Rolls-Royce SMR is planned for 2026.
