Blue Capsule is a French nuclear startup developing a 50 MWe fast sodium reactor at Step 1 (prospective monitoring) of the ASNR regulatory review. The company also developed a sodium test rig to replicate fast reactor conditions — a significant hardware achievement. Blue Capsule is one of the four companies in the initial ASNR stage alongside Hexana, Out, and Stellaria (before Stellaria advanced). France's mature sodium reactor industrial base — inherited from the Superphénix programme — gives Blue Capsule unique access to sodium reactor expertise.
