Blykalla is a Swedish advanced-reactor developer commercializing its Swedish Advanced Lead Reactor, or SEALER, platform. Its technology focus is compact, passively safe lead-cooled reactors, including the 55-MW SEALER-55, enabled by proprietary aluminium-alloyed steels intended to resist liquid-lead corrosion. On 18 May 2026, Blykalla announced that it had applied to the Swedish government to develop a six-reactor advanced nuclear park at Norrsundet with planned capacity of approximately 330 MW. Blykalla's SEALER is a 55 MWe passively safe lead-cooled fast reactor based on more than 25 years of research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and the OECD NEA's annual SMR dashboard identifies Blykalla as having the most mature advanced reactor concept in Europe. Blykalla raised $50 million in December 2025, co-led by Oklo, Norrsken Launcher and Armada Investment; in September 2025 Oklo committed $5 million to co-lead the round and the two companies signed a Joint Technology Development Agreement. Blykalla broke ground on a non-nuclear testing site at Oskarshamn in February 2025 and received EUR 15 million of EU EIC Accelerator equity plus a EUR 2.5 million grant.
