Cambridge Atomworks is developing the Odin microreactor — a compact HTGR designed for energy-intensive industries and off-grid installations. In May 2026 the company signed an MOU with Mott MacDonald to accelerate development, leveraging Mott MacDonald's decades of large-scale nuclear project delivery experience. Cambridge Atomworks targets the significant UK off-grid industrial, defence, and remote community power market.
