Fortum is a Finnish-Swedish utility and one of the largest Nordic energy companies operating nuclear plants in both Finland (Loviisa 1&2) and Sweden. Fortum signed an early works agreement with GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy on July 1, 2025 to advance potential BWRX-300 deployment in Finland and Sweden.
