Its nuclear activity centres on operating, maintaining, modernizing, uprating and renewing the licences of existing light-water reactors, while evaluating advanced-reactor and SMR options at selected existing sites. In June 2026, Constellation filed U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission licence-renewal applications for Ginna and Nine Mile Point Unit 1 that, if approved, would extend both units' operation through 2049.
